There are some days that are not so good. Though I have been deliberate about posting only good things, the reality is that there is so much bad in the world that we live in. There are pains and struggles, hurts and hardships that we all must face daily. Some of which are never uttered. But somehow within each day there is an opportunity to sit alone and meditate on the good.
The hurricanes, earthquakes and tough political climate have made life especially challenging for people all around the world. Some people are now coming to grips with the reality that faces others on a daily basis; powerlessness and injustice. It is the reality that even with the turmoil and uncertainty, there is a deliberate and systematic structure that places some at a disadvantage based on their background.
No matter your educational background, pedigree or connections, the fact of the matter is that many may regard you as less than human. There are so many layers that exist in our current political and social arena, but one thing is clear. In order to have good days, you must hold tight to something that is bigger than you; bigger than your background, race, or country of origin. Larger than the systemic rulers of this world. God has control, even when man appears to have taken over.
“I have told you these things, so that
in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!
I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
